Whether you’re joining us for a short visit or settling in for a longer stay, this section is designed to guide you. You’ll find clear answers to common questions about staying at Western and what to expect during your time here. Our priority is to make your experience at Ontario Hall Suites comfortable, convenient and worry‑free.
Who can stay in a Suite?
Suites can be reserved for faculty and staff members visiting the university for a minimum of 2 nights and up to 4 months. These accommodations are ideal for new staff while they look for permanent accommodations in London, interview candidates travelling from afar, faculty visiting to do research and more. These accommodations are not available to students.
When are Suites available?
Suites are available year-round. Availability can be limited depending on the time of year as there are only 10 suites available. We recommend reaching out as early as possible to reserve a spot.
Where do I check in?
All guests check in at the Front Desk of Ontario Hall which is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Access to Ontario Hall by car is off Western Road. The Front Desk is located on the 3rd floor of the building.
If arriving from the back parking lot, take the elevator to the 3rd floor. If arriving from the main entrance facing Sarnia Road, the Front Desk is directly inside the doors.
What is provided in the room?
All suites are fully private one-bedroom apartments featuring a double bed, full kitchen, living room and three-piece washroom. Cooking utensils, dishes, cleaning products, coffee and tea are provided in the kitchen along with cable TV. Linens, toilet paper and facial tissues are also provided. Basic housekeeping is provided once a week.
Where can I park and is it free?
We provide a parking pass (hang tag) upon request in advance. Availability is limited so please request one when making your reservation. Parking is located in the Ontario (Lot N) lot on the west side of the building. The pass is not valid for the row of parking south of the building and only applies to the main lot.
Weekend parking is free so a pass is not required from 7:00 p.m. Fridays to 7:00 a.m. Mondays.
Can my department pay for my accommodations by speed code?
Yes. We accept speed code payments for accommodations. There is no tax when stays are paid by speed code or when stays exceed 30 nights. Otherwise payment is taken at the Front Desk of Ontario Hall upon check-in by Visa, Mastercard, Debit or American Express.
